Glen Silver’s is a range of Scottish denomination of origin whiskies with the Blended Scotch 8-year variety and its higher category, the Blended Malt Scotch 12-year variety. This range of products is the result of a magnificent combination of the pronounced Scottish experience in whisky production. The selection of the raw materials, the process of malting, distillation and ageing in barrels are accompanied by the timeless art of preparing this spirit.
The nose is more engaging than the taste with this one. Not the worst blended whisky ever, but definitely better for mixing than drinking on its own.
- NoseInitially very spirity (like strong apple schnapps). Eventually, it mellows to pears and raspberries, brown sugar, wax, vanilla pod and banana, soft oak tannins, and ginger with a touch of lime and pepper.
- TasteVery light. Ginger with a touch of brown-sugar, pears, lime, and espresso.
- FinishSpirity banana, bitter tannins, and very light stale cereal grains.
